What is the Demo Connection?

The Demo connection is a built-in testing environment that comes pre-loaded with realistic sample affiliate data. It lets you explore AffZero’s full feature set — building automations, testing variables, sending emails — without needing access to a real tracking platform. The Demo connection does not count toward your connection limit.

What Data Does It Include?

The Demo connection returns a realistic dataset including:
  • A set of sample affiliates with names, clicks, conversions, revenue, and payouts
  • Offer-level data
  • Date-range-based breakdowns
The data is static (it doesn’t change day to day), but it’s structured exactly like real tracker data, so anything you build with it will work the same way with a live connection.

Available Stat Types

Stat TypeWhat it shows
By AffiliateSample affiliate performance — revenue, payout, clicks, conversions per affiliate
More stat types may be added to the Demo connection as new platform integrations are built.

Available Demo Actions

The Demo connection also supports a set of write actions that return realistic simulated responses — no actual data is changed, but the response shape is identical to what a live tracker would return.
ActionWhat it simulates
Update Campaign CostRecords a cost update for a single campaign
Bulk Cost UpdateUpdates costs for multiple campaigns at once — returns a per-campaign result summary
Edit ConversionsUpdates conversion status, payout, or comment
Edit CampaignUpdates campaign name, payout, or targeting settings
Start / Pause CampaignActivates or pauses a campaign
Bulk Offer UploadCreates multiple offers at once
Use these actions to build and test automations (including bulk cost workflows driven by AI Analyze) before connecting to a live tracker.

How to Add the Demo Connection

  1. Go to Connections in the left sidebar
  2. Click Add Connection
  3. Select Demo from the platform list
  4. Enter any name you like (e.g. Demo)
  5. Click Save
No API key or base URL is required.

When to Use the Demo Connection

Learning the platform

Build your first automation and understand how variables work without touching real data.

Testing email templates

Make sure variable substitution and formatting look right before sending real emails.

Showing the platform to teammates

Demo the automation builder without exposing live affiliate data.

Building invoice templates

Test invoice generation and variable mapping with predictable sample data.

When you’re ready to work with real data, add a live connection to Affise, CAKE, or Binom. Your automations can then be updated to use the new connection with a few clicks.
